There seems to be no stopping Nelly Korda at the moment. The LPGA star has been on a roll this season and with her victory at the Chevron Championship on Sunday, she equaled an incredible record of golf great Tiger Woods .
This triumph of Korda was her fifth successive victory. The 25-year-old now finds herself tied on a impressive list with Tiger Woods. The 15-time major champion had three streaks of 5 or more wins (7 wins in 2006-07 and 6 wins in 1999-00) with the last one coming in 2007-08 PGA Tour season where he claimed five straight titles.
Apart from this, she also became just the fifth professional golfer and the third women to emerge as the winner in five successive starts. Prior to her, Annika Sorenstam and Nancy Lopez achieved this feat on the LPGA Tour during the 2004-05 and 1978 season respectively.
Quite the company to join.

Korda started the final round of the Chevron Championship one stroke behind Ryu Haeran. However, she soon turned the tide around and with a score of 3-under 69, finished two shots ahead of runner-up Maja Stark.
This win of her also comes after she played 25 holes on Sunday due to a weather delay. Despite this, the American golfer was able to keep her composure and get over the line. After the event, she expressed her happiness and claimed she was finally able to “breathe“.
I can finally breath now. That back nine felt like the longest back nine of my entire life. It was a little bit of a grind on the back nine, but I’m happy to get the win … I can finally breathe now and enjoy the moment. Nelly Korda said as per CBS.

Nelly Korda’s fifth successive win has left the golfing world buzzing. Many have shared their congratulations to her for accomplishing this amazing feat. Scottie Scheffler has now joined the others and praised her following this win.
The Men’s World No. 1 claimed he was “extremely happy” for her and said it was a “treat” to watch her perform with this high level.
That's some pretty serious stuff. I am extremely happy for her and proud of her... It's been a treat to watch Scottie Scheffler on Nelly Korda.
Real recognize real.

The two golfers have been in similar form this season. While Korda continues to tear apart the competition on the LPGA, Scheffler has caused havoc on the PGA Tour.
The American golfer showcased this talent with back-to-back wins at the Arnold Palmer Invitational and The Players Championship. This was followed by an incredible victory at the Augusta National last Sunday where he claimed his second Masters title.
This week, Scheffler is poised to win again as he leads the RBC Heritage by five shots. Due to a weather delay, he will play the remaining three holes on Monday. Unless something dramatic happens, he will become just the second man after Bernhard Langer to win in the following week after claiming the green jacket at Augusta National.
