The folks at 23XI Racing and McDonald’s are at it again. They are bringing back the Grimace, Hamburglar, and Birdie paint schemes for Iowa Speedway. The NASCAR Cup Series is racing at Iowa for the first time ever and it’s going to be a lot of fun with these cars on the track.

Now, it’s likely that only two of these paint schemes get used. After all, Bubba Wallace and Tyler Reddick are the only McDonald’s drivers in NASCAR. However, there is something interesting brewing at 23XI. They are bringing the 50 car back at some point this summer.

We do not know if it will be for the Iowa race. However, we do know that at least a couple of these great designs will be on the track. 23XI Racing keeps bringing the heat on paint schemes.

Now, nothing is confirmed but it does seem like we are going to be seeing these designs at Iowa. Last season at Homestead-Miami Speedway both Bubba Wallace and Tyler Reddick raced in alternate McDonald’s schemes.

The Grimace scheme was Wallace’s while Reddick raced in the Hamburglar scheme. Fans loved the paint schemes last year and I’m sure that they will love these new ones when they hit the track in real life.

I’ll have to be honest, I hope the Birdie scheme gets a chance this time around. Of course, you have to run the Grimace paint scheme. Purple race cars are the best. 23XI Racing knows how to do these one-off schemes and do them well.

23XI Racing at the forefront of NASCAR marketing

NASCAR is all about sponsorship and marketing. There is racing involved too, but with so many advertisers and partners, it really is about visibility of sponsors and what return they get on their investments.

23XI Racing is a modern NASCAR team. Michael Jordan is co-owner with the sport’s biggest villain, Denny Hamlin. They have sponsorships with the Air Force, McDonald’s, Columbia, Monster Energy, and other big named brands. Of course, Jordan Brand as well.

No one has the same paint scheme 36 races a year anymore. It just isn’t a thing that happens. So, there are times when a one-off can be used to put more focus on a singular race or partnership. In other words, slap Grimace on the hood of a car and watch online engagement go through the roof.

From the Flying Tigers Air Force scheme to Tyler Reddick’s Tim Richmond throwback – 23XI Racing is at the forefront of aesthetics both on and off the track. A modern team for a modern era of the sport.
