Jazz’s Collin Sexton Out Another Week With Hamstring Strain
Christopher Creveling-USA TODAY Sports

Jazz guard Collin Sexton will miss at least another week with a problematic hamstring that seems to have been an issue for most of the season, as relayed by Ben Anderson of KSL Sports.

Sexton has missed five straight games, and missed 13 in a row earlier this season, also due to a hamstring injury. Once considered an iron man with the Cavaliers, he missed all but five games last season with an MCL tear.

While on the court, though, he has been impactful.

Sexton, 24, is averaging a career-low 14.3 points and 2.9 assists, shooting career-bests of 51 percent from the field and 41 percent on 3-pointers. He has appeared in 47 games, coming off the bench in all but 15.

He originally suffered the latest injury in a game against the Grizzlies on Feb. 15. The Jazz are 2-3 in the latest stretch without Sexton but, as Anderson wrote, have received some very nice play from recent addition and guard Kris Dunn.

Sexton was selected by the Cavs with the No. 8 overall pick in the 2018 NBA Draft. He was included in the Jazz’s blockbuster deal centered on guard Donovan Mitchell during the offseason.
