We've got a small, small NHL slate to start our week, limiting our choices for tonight. Los Angeles-Vancouver seems like a tight game is coming, so we prefer looking to St. Louis hosting Vegas as the more likely option to generate some offense.
We're rocking with just two legs tonight touching both ends, coming in at a solid price.
Golden Knights vs. Blues, 8 p.m. ET
On the shots front, Vegas is definitely my preference. St. Louis has allowed 32.0 shots per game on home ice over the last 45 days and have just been a great shot target in general for the last few weeks.
They particularly have been generous to wings, allowing the second-most SOG per game to the position across the last 10 games.
So, we turn to Ivan Barbashev, top-line winger for Vegas. He has seven SOG on 11 attempts his last two games and five SOG on 10 attempts in his past two on the road. If we pencil him in for 4+ attempts tonight, he hits this number at an 86% rate this year, averaging 2.9 SOG/game.
He has 2-4-2 shots against the Blues (his former team) in three meetings.
As for some St. Louis goals, Vegas has been much looser on the road, allowing 3.8 goals per game over the last month and a half and 4+ in six of their last seven as the visitor.
The Blues are finding their scoring touch of late, with 3+ goals in seven straight, averaging 4.0/game. They've hit 3+ goals in seven of the past eight meetings with Vegas. I lean the Blues to win, but at minimum like their offense to find the back of the net for us three times.
